Kristi Hester

Kristi M. Hester, age 57, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. Graveside services for Mrs. Hester will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Climax, Georgia. The Rev. Dewitt Phillips will officiate. Kristi was born in Connecticut on July 6, 1964, to Arthur McCleod and Mary Catherine Markoski. She moved to Decatur County and has been a resident for 45 years. Kristi was married to the love of her life, Wendell Hester. She was a caring and kind nurse. Working mostly at Pinewood Nursing Center in Whigham, Georgia. Kristi Hester is survived by her husband, Wendell Hester; children , Tabitha Markoski (Richard Sims), Tiffany Howell (Kendrick Williams), and James William Howell, III (Haley Howell); sisters, Naomi Glass, Cynthia Bean, and Candice Brazeale; grandchildren, Dallas Hand, Devon Hand, Brantley Dauton Roney, Annabelle Howell, Eric Smith, Jr., Malia Smith, Ari’Yanna James-Smith, Recardo James-Smith, Carmani Baker, Aalaya Williams, James Howell, IV, and Carson Lee Howell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
