Mr. L. B. Gray, 82, of Donalsonville, GA (formerly of Bainbridge), passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Ray Brown, Rev. Jimmy Dean, and Rev. Ed Harrell officiating, and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Salem Baptist Church, Bobby Jack Harrell, J. B. Mr. Gray was born September 21, 1928 in Grady County, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Gray was the retired owner and operator of Wholesale Battery and Supply Company and L. B. Gray Trucking Company. He was deacon of Salem Baptist Church. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents Paul Augustus Gray and Mattie Clyde H. Gray; his brother, M. C. Gray; and his sister Christine Harrell. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Juanita Adams Gray of Donalsonville, GA; his sons, Billy Gray and his wife, Delores, of Bainbridge, GA, Ricky Gray and his wife, Jan, of Dothan, AL, Tony Gray and his wife, Cathy, of Davenport, FL, and Robby Gray of Savannah, GA; his daughter, Cindy Griffin and her husband, Dexter, of Leesburg, GA; his sister, Hilda Midler Stevens of Montgomery, AL; his grandchildren, LeAnn Buchanan, Lee Gray, Heather Griffin, Laura Finney, Nichole Griffin, Jodi Jones, Jesica Cramer, Victoria Gray and Olivia Gray; and his nine great-grandchildren.
