Mr. Lamar Hansel Harrell, age 66, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Harrell will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 15, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Harrell will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Jamie Bulger, Henry Howard, Ervin Flanders, Chad Braswell, Sammie Watson and Roderick Harrell will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Lamar Hansel Harrell was born January 14, 1959, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Leo Jackson Harrell, Sr. and Mildred Eaton Harrell. He grew up in Bainbridge and attended Bainbridge High School. Lamar worked in construction, from roofing to framing, he worked hard. He was a man of faith and enjoyed going to church. Lamar loved to play golf and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He was a gifted singer, song writer and guitar player. Lamar loved his family and had many friends. He will be deeply missed.
Lamar is survived by the love of his life for over 21 years, Scarlett Victoria Harrell of Bainbridge; children, Brandy Fowler (Tim) of Panama City Beach, Florida and Bryan Harrell of Bainbridge, Georgia; grandchildren, Gavin Flowler and Corbyn Harrell; siblings, Leo Harrell (Vicki), Larry Harrell (Gloria) and Eloise Wacaser (Steve) all of Bainbridge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
