Larry Burgess

Mr. Larry Allen Burgess passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, March 5, 2012, graveside at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, Georgia. Rev. Ernest Weeks will officiate. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 11:00 am; one hour prior to the service. Larry Allen Burgess was born March 1, 1951 in Cairo, Georgia. He lived most of his life in Decatur County. He worked as a mechanic for Elberta Crate Company in Bainbridge. Larry was a collector of anything about eagles. He loved his family deeply and they loved him. Larry Allen Burgess is survived by his children, Chris Burgess and wife, Mackenzie of Brinson, Georgia and Jamie Burgess of Minnesota; mother, Vivian Brown of Belleview, Florida, sisters, Rita Harvey and husband, James of Anthony, Florida, Karen Kramer and husband, Charles of Ocala, Florida, and Nina Amos of Easley, South Carolina; grandchildren, Ryan Burgess, Jackie Burgess, and Mallory Burgess; and loving friend, Christine Moody.
