Larry Powell

Mr. Larry L. Powell, 59, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Bainbridge Church of God with Pastor Dan Tomberlin and Dr. Carl G. Garnett officiating. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Brandon Ingram, Kevin Boyett, Roger Harrell, Charles Harrell, Mike Harrell, and Stanley Harrell serving as active pallbearers. He was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School, Class of 1966 and he attended Bainbridge College. Mr. Powell served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a floor covering installer and a member of Bainbridge Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Powell, and two brothers, Kenneth Powell and Douglas Powell. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Powell of Bainbridge, GA; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Glee Powell of Bainbridge, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Chris Bibby of Bainbridge, GA; his mother, Jewel Addison Powell of Bainbridge, GA; two brothers, Donnell Powell and Steve Powell, both of Bainbridge; seven sisters, Lajean Williamson of Bainbridge, GA, Elma Rae Faircloth of Brinson, GA, Annette Knight of Bainbridge, GA, Linda Braswell of Reynoldsville, GA, Sandra Howell of Columbus, GA, Phyllis Lane of Bainbridge, GA and Sherry Boyett of Ty Ty, GA; five grandchildren, Chloe Powell, Bree Powell, Will Powell, Anna Beth Bibby and Abigail Bibby; two Godchildren, Dee Friday and Tyler Friday and their mother, Jennifer Miller.
