Laurice Fleming Watts, 88, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramon Hernandez and Rev. Doug Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery in Brinson, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home. Hodges Dr., Brinson, GA 39825. Mrs. Watts was born August 11, 1918 in Opp, AL to the late George Monroe Fleming and Maude Lee Thrash Fleming. She graduated from New Brockton High School (Alabama) in 1935, was a homemaker, and a member of Brinson Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Watts, and a granddaughter, Jan Novak. Survivors include her son, George Watts and wife Barbara of Alexandria, VA; her daughter, Miriam W. Novak and husband Jim of Bainbridge, GA; a brother, Max Fleming of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Mable Corbitt of Atlanta, GA and Majean Browning of Blairsville, GA; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
