Lavon Green

Lavon Green, 64, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Christian Faith Church with Rev. Ron Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Tony Green, Derrick Baker, Brandon Conner, Travis Green, Buddy Hoskins, Greg Green and Brock Green serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Lavon was born October 28, 1944 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Lucius Grady Green and Lula Brock Green. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, was a truck driver and attended Christian Faith Church. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Grady Green, Luther Green, Riley Green, Wayne Green and Paul Green; a sister, Ruby Green Cross; and a grandson, Joshua Lavon Conner. Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Maxine White Green of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Michael Lavon Green and his wife Mandy of Bainbridge, GA and Tony Green and his wife Belinda of Bainbridge, GA; three daughters, Michelle G. Montgomery of Donalsonville, GA, Lori G. Conner and her husband Mickey of Bainbridge, GA and Felecia G. McManus and her husband Chuck of Bainbridge, GA; a brother, Herbert Green of Camilla, GA; fourteen grandchildren, Connie Montgomery, David Green, Danielle Green, Bryce Haire, Roxanne Gagnon, Brandon Conner, Justin Conner, Gary Baker, Derrick Baker, Logan Green, Brock Green, Chelsea Green, Shyla Brown and Anslee McManus; and three great-grandchildren, Landen Green, Destiny Gagnon and Mason Brown.
