Lawaner Cross

Funeral services for Mrs. Lawaner Mae Mock Cross, age 83 of Bainbridge, GA will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Cox - Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in the Brinson Cemetery with Rawleigh Furney, Anthony Harrell, Dusty Willeby, Gary Wimberly, Lawson Wimberly and James Cross serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Cross passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Decatur County the daughter of the now late Jim and Willie Valentine Mock. She was married to John C. Cross who preceded her in death. She lived in Decatur County most all her life except for twenty five years when she was in Ft. Myers, FL. She was a waitress and loved gardening and fishing. She is survived by two daughters Willie Cross and Kim (Tommy Webb) Hand both of Bainbridge; three sons Jim Cross of Bainbridge, Leon (Marlene) Cross of Montavella, AL and John Allen ( Helen) Cross of Ft. Myers, Fl; four sisters Pauline Gordon, Judy Watts, Jimmie Draper and Agnes Craft; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
