Lazelle Smith

Lazelle Zorn Smith, 95, of Brinson, GA, and formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Miller County Nursing Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Carroll and Dr. Walter D. Zorn officiating. Interment will follow at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Toney Hatcher, James Glass, Ricky McGee, Freddie Hirsch, Christian Williams and Jacob Williams serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Smith was born April 28, 1917 in Miller County, GA, the daughter of Grover Williams and Ethel Moody Williams. She retired from ITT Thompson Industries, she was a member of Reynoldsville Church of God, and attended Salem-Seminole Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Winston Zorn and his wife, Barbara, of Reynoldsville, GA; her daughters, Mary Grace Zorn Burke of Donalsonville, GA, and Ann Zorn Glass and her husband, Douglas, of Donalsonville, GA; her 13 grandchildren; her 24 great-grandchildren; and her 4 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husbands, Winston Zorn and Carl Smith; her infant son, Dallas Hamilton Zorn; her daughters, Sally Earnest and Wynette Hatcher; and her brother, Dallas Cleveland Williams.
