Leroy Starling, 90, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. A funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. CST at Union Free Will Baptist Church near Abbeville, AL with Rev. Ray Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with his grandsons serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. He operated Starling's Small Engine Repair Shop in Bainbridge for many years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia S. Foster. Survivors include four sons, Leroy Starling of Donalsonville, GA, Earl Starling of Bainbridge, GA, Roger Starling of Avon, AL, and David Donalson of Bainbridge, GA; seven daughters, Mary Lucy Rogers of Abbeville, AL, Elaine Money of Abbeville, AL, Martha Ann Turner of Abbeville, AL, Cathy Bell of Dothan, AL, Barbara Bowman of Malvern, AL, Sheila Phillips of Bainbridge, GA, and Claudette Donalson of Bainbridge, GA; 35 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
