Levi Gonzalez-Diaz passed away January 11, 2025, at the age of 49. Services for Levi will be held Sunday, January 19, 2:00 p.m., in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Eternal Rest Memorial Gardens in Colquitt, Georgia. The family will receive friends, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Friday evening, January 17, in the Cadwell Chapel. Please note – the viewing is on Friday evening and the service is Sunday.

Levi Gonzalez-Diaz was born January 15, 1975 in Chiapas, Mexico, to the late Faustino Hernandez and Aida Gonzalez of Chiapas. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Levi was raised by the late Efrain Diaz and Luria Reynosa of Chiapas.

Mr. Gonzalez-Diaz was an active member and leader of Casa de Vida y Paz in Bainbridge, Georgia. Levi will be remembered as a joyful and family-oriented man. He was always happy. Levi will be remembered as a true family man who devoted his time to his wife and children, ensuring they were happy and taken care of. Levi brought joy to everyone that he met. He will be remembered for his love and compassion toward others and always making people smile and laugh. Levi always had a positive attitude and gave good advice to help others when they needed it. He had a way of lifting everyone’s spirits. Levi will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Levi Gonzalez-Diaz is survived by his wife of 28 years, Maria Diaz; his daughter, Aida S. Diaz, son, Efrain R. Diaz, and daughters, Olevia E. Diaz and Estrella M. Diaz, all of Bainbridge. Georgia; brothers, Emilio Hernandez, Sr. (Ofelia P.), Jose Hernandez (Yolanda A.) of Bainbridge, Joel Hernandez (Jovita Z.), David Hernandez (Ellia V.), Adan Hernandez (Rolinda Z.), and Samuel Hernandez of Chiapas, Mexico; sister, Lucresia Hernandez of Chiapas; nephews, Emilio Hernandez, Jr. (Elizabet H.), Faustino Perez–Hernandez (Petra P.), Yair Perez-Hernandez (Veronica H.) of Bainbridge; Angel Perez-Hernandez (Margarita H.) of Havana, Florida, and Wilmar Hernandez-Reyes of Cairo, Georgia; nieces, Blanca A. Hernandez-Perez, Elvira Hernandez-Perez, Aleny R. Perez of Bainbridge, Keyla Hernandez-Reyes, Yesenia Hernandez-Reyes, and Arva Perez-Hernandez of Chiapas. There are other loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many friends.

Levi Gonzalez-Diaz was preceded in death by his father, Faustino Hernandez, mother, Aida Gonzalez and uncle, Efrian Diaz.
