Lewis Clyde Ezell was born July 14, 1955, in Quincy, Florida to Clyde Ezell and Alma Kennedy Ezell. Lewis grew up in Bainbridge. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. His father was a house painter, and Lewis was always willing to help him. He enjoyed painting and did a great job. Lewis worked as a supervisor for Amoco Fabrics for 35 years before he retired. Fishing and quail hunting were things he loved to do. He was a talented drummer and played weekly at the V.F.W. for years. He would grab those drum sticks any opportunity that came his way. Lewis enjoyed and collected classic cars. He was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church. Mostly, he was a great husband, father and grandfather. His heart was his family. Some called him Si and some Papa but whatever, he loved each person. The family does all agree that his son-in-law, Johnny Mack, was his favorite. Never to be forgotten, Lewis Ezell will be forever missed.
Mr. Ezell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail Josey Ezell; children, Amy Hand (Johnny Mack) and Mandy Ezell; and grandchildren, Dustin Mack Hand, Delaney Makynley Hand, and Macie Grace Ezell. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Leslie (Lele) Brock; and siblings, Shelby, Shirley, and Donald.
