Linda Jones

Linda June Jones, 73, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Mt. Gilead Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Keith Donalson, Orvil Hodges, Ashley Jones, Brandon Hodges, Skylar Hodges, and Jeffery Turner serving as active pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home. Linda June Jones was born June 12, 1943 in Iron City, GA, the daughter of Charlie Lee Middleton and Myrtle Peters Middleton. Mrs. Jones was a member of Red Hills Church and attended Mt. Gilead Free Will Baptist Church. Linda loved her many birds and dogs and enjoyed spending time with them. She could often be found working in her flowers and flower beds. When she wasn't working in her yards, she could be found fishing at her favorite fishing spots with her loving husband. What made Linda happiest was visiting with her grandkids. Survivors include her spouse, Clarence Jones of Donalsonville, GA; her children, Keith Donalson of Crosby, TX, Lisa Hodges and her husband, Orvil, of Claxton, GA, and Ashley Jones and his wife, Darla, of Dothan, AL; her sister, Nell Hatton and husband, Jesse, of Donalsonville, GA; her grandchildren, Keith, Jammie, Brannon, Aleshia, Breanna, Elise, Skylar, Makayla, Trent, and Nick; and her great-grandchildren, Melanie, Dakota, John Jr, Devon, Renne, Kye, Ember, Canyon, Skyla, Trevor, Brycen, Trace, and Megan. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Earlene Worthy, Margaret Dodson, and Edward Middleton.
