Lois Tipton-Marchese

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lois Marchese, 82, of Brinson, GA will be held Monday, May 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Kenneth Boyd, Patrick Boyd, Paul Boyd, Bob Chambless, Randy Johnson, and David Cliett serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 25, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home. Mrs. Marchese was born Dec. 26, 1925 in Seminole County, to the now late Benjamin and Laura Thursby Tipton. She married Michael Joseph Marchese in 1947 and was happily married until his death in 1995. She was a homemaker and loved to fish and garden. She lived in New York, South Carolina, Las Vegas, NV, New Jersey, and the past 20 years in Decatur County. She and her husband owned and operated Mikes Country Store and the Red Rooster Italian Restaurant. Mrs. Marchese attended Spring Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons; Randy Michael Marchese of Las Vegas, NV, and Ricky Earl Marchese of New York, NY; one daughter, Valera J. Val Hix of Brinson, GA; and one brother, Wilbur Thomas Tipton of Panama City Beach, FL. Mrs. Marchese was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 48 years Michael Joseph Marchese.
