Lola Coursey

Lola Odom Coursey, 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. C. Phil Tondee officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus, GA. Mrs. Coursey was born September 1, 1920 in Seminole County, GA, the daughter of Johnnie Odom and Donna Spooner Odom. She was formerly of Columbus, GA where she was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bainbridge. She was preceded in death by her husband David Walter Coursey. Survivors include her five sons; Charles "Buster" Coursey of Augusta, GA, Jimmy Coursey of Shelby, NC, Robert Coursey of Richland, GA, Leroy Coursey of Columbus, GA, and David Coursey of Quincy, Fl; two daughters; Rubye C. Graham of South Lyon, MI and Sarah C. Toliver of Bainbridge, GA; her brother; Roy Odom of Donalsonville, GA; and her sister; Marjorie Hartzog of Chipley, FL, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
