Lorraine Kain Cook, 82, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Friday, January 29, 2011 at Starcrest of Cartersville. The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Cairo Cemetery with Rev. Randy Mosley officiating. Mrs. Cook was born July 13, 1928 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of DeWitt Kain and Trudie Shirah Kain. She graduated from Bainbridge High School, was a homemaker and a former member of First Baptist Church in Bainbridge. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Lee Cook; her brother, William Lawrence "W. L." Kain; and her two sisters, Frances Kain Worthington and Virginia Kain Hartley. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Terri Cook of Cartersville, GA; and her granddaughter, Courtney Arenas and her husband Daniel of Cartersville, GA.
