Lottie Arthur

William Lottie Arthur, 73, of Faceville, GA, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kip Boswell and Rev. Tommy McNair officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery with Greg Jeter, Jeff Jeter, Richard White, David Howell, Troy Arthur and Shane Steadham serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Arthur was born January 14, 1936 in Hamilton, AL, the son of William Henry Arthur and Pearl Sanderson Arthur. He retired from Engelhard with forty-two years of service, was a volunteer with the Faceville Volunteer Fire Department, a trustee of the Cool Springs Cemetery, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Lee Arthur, his sister, Lucille Nichols and his grandson, Jeffrey Trent Arthur, Jr. Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Barbara Broxton Arthur of Faceville, GA; his son, Trent Arthur and his wife Tina of Faceville, GA; his daugther, Dawn Womble and her husband Charles of Jakin, GA; and four grandchildren, Ashley Arthur, William Womble, Jennifer Arthur and Bailee Ann Womble.
