Louie Heard

Mr. Louie K. Heard, 76, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Bethany Baptist Church near Brinson, GA with Rev. Tommy Willis and Rev. Zack Worsham officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with his nephews Carey Heard, Rodney Heard, Dale Heard, Trent Heard, Mike Tully, and Jace Heard serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Heard was born September 27, 1930 in Decatur County, GA to the late Emmett Julius Heard and Allie Kendrick Heard. He was a carpenter and retired from the Building Maintenance Department for the Decatur County School Board. He was a Deacon of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Elaine T. Heard of Bainbridge, GA; a son, Terry K. Heard of Bainbridge, GA; two daughters, Teresa H. White and Cathy D. Holt, both of Bainbridge, GA; two brothers, Ed Heard of Marietta, SC and James Heard of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Anna Wilder of Marietta, SC and Teri Brugal of Miami, FL; and five grandchildren, Katie D. Heard, Ali N. White, Blaine A. White, Hannah Ray Holt, and Henry L. (Little Hank) Holt, III.
