Lowell Jones

Funeral Services for Mr. Lowell Jones, age 67, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 5:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Phil Tondee officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 4:00 - 5:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Jones was born June 26, 1941 in Climax, GA to the now late Benjamin D. and Edna Hinton Jones. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany as a Medical Specialist from 1959 - 1964. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He moved back to this area in 1990 from St. Petersburg, FL and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Jones passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. He is survived by two daughters; Lavelle Jones Lee of Tallahassee, FL, and Denise Medina of Bainbridge, GA; two sisters, Carolyn Pope of Bainbridge, GA and Hazel (Husband Eugene) Vickers of Donalsonville, GA; four granddaughters, and one great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles W. and Benny E. Jones, and two sisters, Ella Ree Forrester, and Myrtice Inlow.
