Lucius "Luke" Johnson, 78, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home. He was a contractor for many years, a well known farmer and affectionately known as, "Luscious Luke" to many. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his infant son; his brother, Brad Johnson; and his sisters, Gladys Johnson Kroll and Ruthie Hill Maxwell. Survivors include his daughters, Sheilah J. Kirkland of Bainbridge, GA, Debra J. Bennett of Bainbridge, GA, Martha Anne King and her husband Steve of Bainbridge, GA, and Eve Yarbrough and her husband Sebe of Americus, GA; his twin brother, Lowell Johnson of Lake Seminole, GA, and his brother, Joe Johnson and his wife Jean of California City, CA; his sisters, Sissy O'Hearn and her husband Bill of Donalsonville, GA and Pearl Schnick of Arlington, TX; his grandchildren, Will Kirkland, Ben Bennett, Jamie Bennett, Kennie Bennett, Jeb King, Sallie King, Jayden Yarbrough and Marlee Yarbrough; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and step-grandson, Brandon Franklin.
