Lucy Davis-Wells

Funeral services for Mrs. Nell Davis Wells, age 68 of Climax, will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Cox - Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Debbie Cone officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Adam Henry, Goober Wells, Skyler Sorrow, Ladon Wells, Clifford Wells, Chris Davis, Mark Eakin and Jared Busby serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Cox - Ware Funeral Home. Mrs. Wells was born March 6, 1942 in Early County the daughter of the late Lucious and Cynthia Lee Pearson Davis. She has lived most all her life in Decatur County. Mrs. Wells was of the Baptist faith, loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, cooking, flowers and windchimes. She was employed with Amoco for twenty six years. Mrs. Wells passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at her residence. She is survived by two daughters Shirley Davis and husband Scott of Climax and Popsicle Busby and husband David of Colquitt; six sons Robert Henry and wife Tonya of Newton, Billy Wayne Davis of Damascus, Scooter Wells and wife Bridget of Damascus, Peewee Wells and wife Sherry of Climax, Tadpole Wells and wife Micheal of Bainbridge and Booger Wells and wife Belinda of Patmos, GA; nineteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister JoAnn Henry of Colquitt and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers Lucious Davis, Jr., Earl Davis, Calvin Davis and Billy Davis.
