Lucy Heard

Lucy Elaine Heard, 73, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Matthews and Rev. Tommy Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Rodney Heard, Trent Heard, Dale Heard, Jace Heard, Russell Heard, and B. J. Johns serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Heard was born March 9, 1938 in Colquitt, GA, the daughter of Emory Sessions Tully and Lucy Edna Corley Tully. She was a graduate of Miller County High School, Class of 1956, and retired from First Choice Medical Services, where she served as a nursing assistant. Mrs. Heard was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie K. Heard; her brother Robert E. Tully; and her daughter, Debbie Ann Heard. She is survived by her son, Terry K. Heard and his wife, Carol, of Bainbridge, GA; two daughters, Teresa White, and Cathy Holt and her husband, Henry L. "Hank" Jr., all of Bainbridge, GA; five grandchildren, Katie Heard, Hannah Ray Holt, Henry L. Holt, III, Ali White, and Blaine White, all of Bainbridge, GA; and her sister-in-law, Jean Tully of Colquitt, GA.
