Luetta Moat

Luetta Moat, age 87, of Donalsonville, Georgia, passed away August 21, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, at New Life at Lake Seminole Church, 2164 GA Highway 253, Donalsonville, Georgia 39845.

Luetta was born July 24, 1939, in Houston County, Alabama, to Thomas Volley Gipson and Dellie Lucille Hughes Gipson. She married the love of her life, Earl Moat, who preceded her in death. Luetta was a hard- working woman. She took excellent care of her family and was a great cook. She loved flowers and loved to sit on the porch and watch the world pass by. Luetta dearly loved her family and will be deeply missed.

Luetta Moat is survived by her daughters, Jo Ann Dukes, Lucille Vaughn and Ruby Hutto; grandchildren, Michael Curles, Randall Curles, DeWayne Dukes, and Shelley Cobb; great grandchildren, five boys and seven girls; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brothers and sisters, son Thomas E. Moat, and grandson, Robert L. Hinton, Jr.
