Lynn Speir

Mr. Lynn (Sam) S. Speir passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at his home in Brinson, Georgia. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2012, graveside, at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines, Georgia. Rev. Donna Bevels will be officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge. Lynn S. Speir (Sam) was born January 27, 1931 in Dawson, Georgia to Charlie B. and Velma Lois Hooks Speir. He moved to the City of Bainbridge in late 2005. Sam was a dedicated insurance salesman and also worked as a salesman for several furniture stores. His greatest job was being a loving family man. The angel of silence entered his room at 4:30 a.m., May 4, 2012. With the gentle touch of His hand, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took him in His bosom of peace and everlasting sleep. Among the many left behind to cherish his memory, to miss his presence of love, is his wife of 32 years, Mary Kirkland Speir of Brinson, Georgia. Mary will continue loving him for all eternity. Memories are also etched upon the hearts of his children, Mike and Betty Speir of Carrollton, Georgia, Lee and Michele Wilson of Brinson, and Cheri and James Earp of Brinson; seven grandsons, Jason and Brandon Harris, Ian Edge, Braxton, Payton, Austin and Dillon Jacob Wilson; a granddaughter, Keli Speir; sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Jimmy Giles of Blakely. He will be missed by one and all.
