Mack Barwick

Mack Barwick, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Warren Fox officiating. There will be a private burial at Oak City Cemetery. Box 7009, Bainbridge, GA 39818. Mr. Barwick was born May 3, 1929 in New Brockton, AL, the son of Archie Barwick and Myrtle Alice Nix Barwick. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Barwick retired from Disney World and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lois Brooks Barwick of Bainbridge, GA; his daughters, Beth B. Nagel of Omaha, NE and Peggy B. Mathis and her husband, Rick, of Memphis, TN; his brother, Hugh Barwick of Tarvares, FL; his grandchildren, Ricky D. Mathis, Jr., Melissa Mathis Sanford, and Jessica Nagel. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Edward Barwick; his brothers, Roy Barwick, Lucian Barwick, and Archie Barwick, Jr.; and his sister, Elizabeth Saunders.
