Funeral services for Mr. Bo Widner will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Black Jack Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Beauchamp officiating. Interment will follow in Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery with Kevin Joyner, Shannon Joyner, Landon Joyner, Barry Bishop, Brett Trammel and Donny Long serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Black Jack Baptist Church. Donations can be made to the Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2747 Old Whigham Rd Bainbridge, GA 39817. Mr. Widner was born in Miller County, GA August 15, 1928 the son of the now late J.B. and Clara Davis Widner. He joined the Navy and was later stationed in San Diego, CA. He liked the area and after getting out of service decided to make it his home. He retired as an engineer with Solar Turbines (a division of Caterpillar Inc.). He was a Navy Veteran, a member of Black Jack Baptist Church, a member of VFW Post 4904, and loved to fish and dance. He is survived by his wife Jessie Ulmer Joyner Widner of Donalsonville, GA; one son Rick (wife Kathy) Widner of San Diego, CA; two daughters Mary (husband Jerry) Brown and Diana Marie Widner both of San Diego, CA; step children Wanda (husband Don) Long and Mike (wife Donna) Trammell both of Bainbridge, GA, Suzanne (husband Jerry) Thomas of Whigham, GA, Ernest (wife Debbie) Trammell of Dixie, GA. Otto (Bubba) Joyner of Pensacola, FL, Rodney S. (wife Sandy) Joyner, Wesley F. (wife Marilyn) Joyner, and Lisa (husband Jimmy) Weeks all of Quincy, FL; two sisters Nina Holton and Mildred (husband Claude) McCorkle both of Cairo; twenty-five grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
