Margaret Drew

Margaret Collins Drew, age 76, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Thomasville, Georgia. Services for Margaret will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 8, at Pine Level Baptist Church, 298 Pine Level Road, Cairo, Georgia. The Rev. Will Cook will officiate. The service will conclude at the church. Mrs. Drew will be privately interred in Greenwood Cemetery beside her dear husband Lee. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.

Margaret Collins was born December 23, 1948, in Cairo, Georgia to Russell Van Collins, Sr. and Hattie Mae Peacock Collins and has lived in Grady County all her life. The week she graduated from Cairo High School, she married the love of her life, Lee Alton Drew. They shared life together for 48 years before his death ten years ago. Margaret loved to go to the beach and watch Westerns on television. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially fish fries, going out to eat, and tea parties with her precious friends, Linda and Shelby. She collected anything with peacocks, tea sets, and loved jewelry. She deeply loved her family but especially the grandchildren. Margaret loved to attend Sunday School and go to church. She had the sweetest smile and shared it with everyone she met. She will be missed by so many.

Margaret Drew is survived by her son, Marty Drew and wife, Sue; daughter, Suzanne Willis; grandchildren, Jordan Willis and Billy Pearce; great-granddaughter, Jolee Pierce, all of Cairo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Van Collins, Sr. and Hattie Mae Peacock Collins Lewis; husband, Lee Alton Drew; and siblings, Hoyett Collins (Linda), R. V. Collins (Sylvia), and Rachel Clark.
