We regret to announce the death of Margaret Fletcher, age 94, of Bainbridge, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 28, in Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home.
Margaret was born May 29, 1932, in Ft. Gaines, Georgia. Her life revolved around her husband, Bobby Ray Fletcher, and her three daughters. After she raised her family, she was there to take charge of grandchildren. She had a keen work ethic and strong attitude. Margaret retired from working as a floor supervisor at Thomas and Betts Manufacturing. She was a wonderful cook, maybe the best in the world. Margaret deeply loved her family, but nothing compared to her love of the Atlanta Braves. She was their most avid fan. Margaret lived a long, full life and will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her daughters, Vicki Lieberman of Columbus, Georgia, Sandra Kay Smith of Douglasville, Georgia, and Beth Marriaga of Gilbert, Arizona; brothers, Roy Stephens (Deborah) of Winder, Georgia and James Stephens (Letha) of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Tasha Smith Fiore (John), Greg Fletcher of Bainbridge, Georgia, Christina Ball (Jordan) of Gilbert, Arizona and Cedee Marriaga of Phenix, Arizona; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her friend for over 30 years and favorite hairdresser, Faye Adams.
