Margaret Risher

Margaret Howard Risher, 82, of Walterboro, SC, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home in Bainbridge. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Herndon and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Walterboro, SC with Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Christian Church Cemetery with Dennis Welch, Alan Welch, Lee Godwin, Dick Ivey, Larry Miles, and Edward Bryant serving as active pallbearers. Local visitation will be held Monday, June 30, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Herndon and Sons Funeral Home. Box 1686, Walterboro, SC 29488. Mrs. Risher was born December 5, 1925 in Dadeville, AL the daughter of Joseph Thomas Howard and Essie Mae Dennis Howard. She was a retired office manager for Colleton Regional Hospital and a member of Evergreen Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Heyward T. Risher. Survivors include her daughter, Wynema Miles and husband Raymond; her granddaughter, Tammi Godwin and husband Lee; and her great-grandson, Tyler Godwin, all of Bainbridge, GA.
