Margie Mulford-Scolpini

Margie Laverne Mulford-Scolpini, 98, passed away in her sleep on July 29, 2024 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on September 13, 1925 in Camilla, Georgia, the daughter of Walter and Louveil Salter-Mulford. Memorial services for Mrs. Scolpini will be held on September 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home.
Margie was accomplished in many areas: during WWII she worked in a watch factory making watches for the military, after the war she worked as a waitress, legal secretary, real estate agent, and escrow officer. She enjoyed a period as an actress in local plays, she was a member of the “Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America,” was involved in the “Professional Business Women of California” organization, and later an officer in the “Arizona Republican Women’s Federation.” She also enjoyed travelling around the country in their RV and especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Margie is survived and deeply missed by her son, Paral (Vin) Faris (Wife: Deborah A Phares-Faris) of Alva, Florida, her daughter, Laura L. Faris-Hatfield (Husband: Ralph Hatfield) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, two stepchildren, eight grandchildren,11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin W. Scolpini, her parents, Walter and Louveil Mulford, and two brothers, Howard and Charles Mulford.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Margie's name to “Hospice of Havasu,” or your local Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be made at www.coxiveyfuneralhome.com. Cox-Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
