Mrs. Margie Sharpe Williams, age 68, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away at her home in Bainbridge, Georgia on April 19, 2024. Services for Mrs. Williams will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2:00 p.m., in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. The Rev. DeWitt Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery where she will be buried beside her dear husband. Wesley Glisson, Grayson Glisson, , Hunter Hastey, Gage Hastey, Jessie Gilstrap, and B. E. Brue will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1:00. Margie Sharpe was born in Baxley, Georgia on October 23, 1955 to her parents, Henry Grady Sharpe and Lois Mathis Sharpe. She married her husband, Alan Eugene Williams, on Valentine’s Day in 1985. They were just made for each other. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on December 1, 2015 after their 30-year marriage. Mrs. Williams moved to Bainbridge in 1983 after having lived in Jeff Davis County, Georgia. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Margie enjoyed reading and loved music and dancing. She enjoyed working in her flowers and loved roses. The beach brought a smile to her face but her grandchildren were the song in her heart. She dearly loved being a grandmother. Margie will be deeply missed by her family and many, many friends. Margie Sharpe Williams is survived by her children, Misty Vance (David), Gina Bryant(James), and Amy Harrell (Nolan), and her grandchildren, Chrissy Spikes (Devin), Katie Simmons, Hunter Hastey, Gage Hastey, River Bryant , Clint Bryant (Courtney), Shyanne Dybal, David Harrell (Abby), and Logan Harrell. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Ryder Spikes, Marshall Spikes, Trent Spikes, Cade Cravey, Brinley Waylon, Oaklyn Bryant, Liam Harrell, and Adam Jones, as well as her siblings, Laura Pritchett and Melba Golden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Mildred Brue, Charles Sharpe, Ronnie Sharpe, Cecil Sharpe, and Billy Sharpe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
