Marie Bernadette FairclothJuly 6, 1945 - September 5, 2023 Marie Bernadette Faircloth, age 78, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 surrounded by her family. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 8, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Tomas Beroch officiating.  A private interment will be at Cool Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm on Friday, September 8, 2023  at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Marie was born July 6, 1945 in Newfoundland, Canada the daughter of Michael Patrick Granville and Gertrude Guilfoyle Granville. She worked for Walmart for 18 years. Marie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved her dogs, perfume, jewelry, polar pops, and Canada. You could find her shopping with her family or eating out with those she loved. Survivors include her children, Tina Maria Arthur, Jerry Lamar Faircloth, Nicole Lynn Maddox, and Jerry Allen Faircloth (Kelli); grandchildren, Ashley Bush (Clint), Adreanna Davis (Pete), Breanna Bruce (T.J.), Rebecca Slade (Chris), William Crumby (Cora), Joshua Bruce (Natalie), and Jennifer Brown (Luke); and great grandchildren, Dustyn Faircloth, Aubrey Howerton, Aidyn Fontenot, Andrew Bush, P.J. Davis, Blaize Davis, Weston Arthur, Marliegh Slade, Grayson Arthur, Cole Bruce, and two on the way. Marie  was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse,  Jerry Ervin Faircloth; children, Lita Crumby and Brittany Faircloth; grandson, Jeffrey Arthur, Jr.; and son-in-law, John Maddox. The Faircloth family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
