Marilyn Heard

December 31, 1969 — September 5, 2024

Glenda Marilyn Heard, known to all as Marilyn, age 70, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away on September 5, 2024, surrounded by family. Marilyn was a devoted mother, sister, and friend whose unwavering faith and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a Georgian by birth but a Floridian by choice, where she embraced the beauty of life, faith, and family.

Her parents, Annie Lois and Frank Musgrove, preceded Marilyn in death. She is survived by her two loving sons who miss her greatly, Chrystal (Chrys) Heard and Tyler Heard; her brother, Melvin Musgrove; and her sisters, Brenda Williamson and Sheila Hance. She also leaves cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members behind her.

A faithful Southern Baptist, Marilyn was deeply committed to her faith and church. All who knew her will greatly miss her quiet strength, caring nature, and infectious smile. Marilyn’s love for her family and her devotion to God were the cornerstones of her life, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

A memorial time will be held to celebrate Marilyn’s life on Tuesday, November 26th, 1:00 – 2:00 pm, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. She will be privately interred in Mt.
