Memorial services for Marion Mack Mobley, age 81, will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Bainbridge, Ga with Rev. Paul Medley and Rev. Joseph Beauchamp officiating. Mr Molbley was born to the late Stanton Alonzo and Lola Irene Kitchens Mobley November 12, 1927 in Thomson, Ga. He was a minister of the gospel, serving on the Southern Baptist Foreign Board for 21 years and Bowen Baptist Association Director of Missions from 1980 to 1994. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1950. He attained a major accomplishment of two Masters Degrees.He lived in this area for 31 years after moving from Nishinomiya, Japan. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bainbridge, Ga. and directed a worldwide internet prayer ministry reaching into 75 nations, a member of The Lions Club, Bainbridge, Ga. Mr. Mobley passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at Archbold Medical Center, Thomasville, Ga. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn H. Mobley of Bainbridge, Ga.; three sons, Ronald Glenn Mobley of Dallas, Texas, Wendell Scott Mobley of Moorepark, Calif., and Carey Neil Mobley of New York City, N.Y.; one sister,Carolyn Washington of Jackson, Ga.; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family request, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to First Baptist Church,c/o Mali Africa Missions, Bainbridge, Ga. 39817. Cox-Ware Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
