Marjorie K. Hutchinson, 86, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at a residence.The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with grandchildren and great-grandchildren serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Hutchinson was born March 19, 1922 in Berrien County, GA, the daughter of Johnnie Macum Kent and Fannie Harrell Kent. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. She owned and operated Hutchinson Day Care for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Richard Hutchinson; a brother, R. D. Kent; three sisters, Velma Singletary, Mary Presley, and Annie Mae Register. Survivors include two daughters, Hilda Ann Howington of Atlanta, GA, and Linda Kay Slade of Bainbridge, GA; two brothers, J. M. Kent, Jr. of Lakeland, GA, and Howard Kent of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Selma Crandall of Byron, GA, Ruth Underwood of Salvo, NC, and Evelyn Beard of Norfolk, VA; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
