Martha Braswell-Clemons

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Jean Braswell Clemons will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fletcher Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in Desser Cemetery in Seminole County with Major Bob Haskin, Pete Laycock, Randall Braswell, Steven Braswell, John Malloy and Shandrel Nash serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Clemons was born April 13, 1947 in Seminole County, GA to the now late Randall Dennis and Evelyn Allean Miller Braswell. She was raised in Decatur County and moved to Miller County 38 years ago. She was a member of Kimbrell Chapel Church of God and was a homemaker. Mrs. Clemons loved to fish and was an avid antique collector. She passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross 115 E. Washington St. Thomasville, GA 31792. She is survived by her husband of 38 years; Charles Clemons Sr. of Colquitt, GA; three daughters; Robbie Braswell (Husband Pete) Laycock of Thomasville, GA, Sandi Braswell (Husband Major Bob) Haskin of Ft. Benning, GA, and Rebecca Karol Clemons of Colquitt, GA; two sons; David (Wife Tammy) Braswell of Bainbridge, GA and Charles Edward Clemons Jr. of Colquitt, GA; two brothers; George David Braswell of Bainbridge, GA and Norman Dennis Braswell of Georgetown, GA; and eleven grandchildren. Mrs. Clemons was preceded in death by her parents.
