Martha Register-White

Mrs. Martha Gilbert Register White, 90 years of age, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 in Perry, Florida. Services for Mrs. White will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Tony Haire will be officiating. Interment will be in West Bainbridge Cemetery. Martha Gilbert was born November 14, 1922 in Lanier County, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. William Gilbert. She worked as a seamstress for Jack Winter Apparel. Martha married Freddie L. Register. After his death, she married Charlie Ray White; who also preceded her in death. She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Martha White is survived by her son, Troy L. Register and wife, Gaye C. Register of Perry, Florida; 4 grandchildren, Alma Pagels, Lamar Register, Karen Higgenbotham, and Garrett Register; 2 great grandchildren, Lucas Higgenbotham and Derek Higgenbotham; and daughter-in-law, Nelda Register. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son, Ray Lamar Register, and brothers, Eddie, Avery and L.F. Gilbert.
