Marvin Linder

Mr. Marvin V. Linder, 83, passed away Friday, February 23, 2007 at his residence in Recovery, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, FL with Rev. Al Holley and Rev. Jim McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Chattahoochee, FL with his nephews serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 25, 2007 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the family residence, 399 Recovery Rd., in Recovery, GA. Mr. Linder was born March 3, 1923 in Samson, AL, to the late Irving Veron Linder and Eula Mae Owens Linder. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, married Mary Sellars on January 29, 1951, and retired from the Gulf Power Co., Scholtz Generating Plant in Sneads, FL with 33 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, FL, and the Men's Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael V. Linder. Survivors include his wife, Mary Sellars Linder of Recovery, GA; a daughter, Miriam Linder McIntosh and husband Jim of Altha, FL; a daughter-in-law, Freida Linder of Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth McIntosh, Joshua Lee McIntosh, and Zachary Veron Linder; two brothers, Lee Linder of Davenport, FL and Eugene Linder of Andalusia, AL; and a sister, Evelyn L. Herring of Enterprise, AL.
