Mary Frances was born October 7, 1940 in Brunswick, Georgia the daughter of Shelby Hardy Monroe and Helen Marian Monroe . She graduated from Georgia Southern University. She was a social worker for the State of Georgia for 11 years. She loved books and was a librarian. She was the bookmobile librarian in Valdosta. Mary Frances worked on the ground floor of getting the Bainbridge Decatur County Humane Society started. Survivors include her husband, Harrywood Gray, Jr.; brother, Shelby Hardy Monroe, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Helen Monroe Thompson.
