Mary Harrell

Mary Harrell, 83, of Bainbridge, GA passed away September 23, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2007 at West Bainbridge Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Joe Baxter and Rev. Danny Vun Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Beau Harrell, Brent Johnson, Brad Johnson, Allen Brock, Larry Kelley and Maynard Brock serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Harrell was born March 11, 1924 in Rexroat, Oklahoma to the late George Washington Baxter and Florence Miller Baxter. She graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1945 and Draughon's Business University. She was employed for 34years as the business manager for Georgia Industries for the Blind. She was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for 15 years, and served as treasurer for the Bainbridge Lions Club for many years. Survivors include her husband, Homer H. Harrell of Bainbridge,GA; a son, Homer H. Harrell, Jr. and wife Pat of Bainbridge, GA; a daughter, Mary Donna Stokley and husband Leroy of Ellisville, MS; three brothers, Billy Joe Baxter of Lindsay, Ok., Donald Baxter of New Orleans, LA., Jerry Baxter of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Zella May Waulob of Booker, TX., five grandchildren, Brent Johnson, Kimberly Harrison, Brad Johnson, Beau Harrell, Misty Lee Stokley; four great grandchildren, Taylor Harrison, Conner Harrison, Sydney Johnson and Kailey Johnson.
