Mrs. Mary Clinton Price, 78, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Terry Lee Lambert, Ronnie Lambert, Michael Clinton, Calvin Kelly, Robert Clinton, Alec Glisson, Allen Glisson, and Andy Glisson serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Price was born October 23, 1928, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Hugh Alexander Clinton and Lela Jowers Clinton. She lived in Athens, GA for 35 years and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Leon Price, a son, Collis Eugene Glisson, a daughter, Debra Jewell Glisson, two brothers, Hugh Alexander Clinton, Jr. and G. W. Clinton, and a sister, Mildred Benton Thornton. Survivors include two sons, Morris Glisson and wife Carol of Bainbridge, GA, and Michael L. Glisson of Bainbridge, GA; a daughter, Rosa Glisson Whitley of Bainbridge, GA; a brother, Charlie Earl Clinton of Bainbridge, GA; 4 sisters, Ruth Clinton Lambert, and Odessa Clinton Kelly, both of Bainbridge, GA, and Margaret Clinton Carroll and Martha Ann Clinton Clenney, both of Tallahassee, FL; 4 grandchildren, Jimmy Hancock, Timothy Hancock, Amanda Glisson, and Mia Glisson; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
