Miss Mary Alice Steadham, 69, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bainbridge, GA with Dr. Edmond Long and Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with Chris Dukes, Kevin Long, Jimmy Martin, Wayne Martin, Maurice Edmonds, Charles Steadham, and John Steadham serving as active pallbearers. Miss Steadham was born October 17, 1937 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of J. Frank Steadham and Lollie Jane Edmonds Steadham. She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1956, was homemaker, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include her father, J. Frank Steadham of Bainbridge, GA; brother, Stanley Steadham and wife Patsy of Bainbridge, GA; a sister, Jane S. Black and husband Fred of Bainbridge, GA; nieces and nephews, Shawn Steadham, Connie Thomason, Chris Dukes, and Susie Rush; a great-niece, McCall Mason; and a great-nephew, Hunter Thomason.
