Mary Bower Stone, 92, of Bainbridge, GA, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at her residence. A private funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. John's Episcopal Church with The Reverend June Johnson and The Reverend Marcia Owens McRae officiating. Active pallbearers were R. P. "Buster" Bolton, Jr., Jimmy Dickson, Sam Griffin, Joe Higdon, Jack Leverett, and Clayton Penhallegon. Honorary pallbearers were the members of The Book Club. A public graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak City Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
