Mattie Maxwell

Mattie Maxwell, 83, of Attapulgus, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with her grandsons serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Maxwell was born March 2, 1929 in Anniston, AL, the daughter of Ernest Crowe and Nora Phillips Crowe. She was a dedicated homemaker and wife. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Clifford B. Maxwell, Sr.; her children, Bronwood Lamar Maxwell and his wife, Taresa, Edna Faye Colvin and her husband, Franklin, Inis (Bert) Calhoun and her husband, Roy, Clifford B. Maxwell, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, Harry Landron Maxwell, Nora Kaye Ramer and her husband, Glenn, Ernest Eugene Maxwell and his wife, Sherry, Myra Elizabeth Maxwell, Sue Ellen Dapsi, Donald Hugh Maxwell, Linda Darlene Johns and her husband, Blake, Kimberly Diane Lane, James William Maxwell, Edith Jeanette Lewis, and Danny Lavon Maxwell; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Lynwood Maxwell.
