Maudeen White Pearson, 76, of the Faceville Community near Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Fox and Rev. Carl Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery with the Deacons of Morningside Baptist Church serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Pearson was born September 10, 1936 in Attapulgus, GA, the daughter of Millard Boen White and Lenora Dean White. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and was a service representative for the Social Security Administration. Mrs. Pearson was an active member of Morningside Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was the church historian. She was a member of the Decatur County Historical and Genealogical Society, served on the Cool Springs Cemetery board, and volunteered with the Breast Cancer Support Group. Maudeen loved being part of the Faceville community and sharing time with her friends. Survivors include her sons, Philip Pearson and his wife, Annie, of Niceville, FL and Rodger Pearson and his wife, Jeanie, of Madison, AL; her grandchildren, Jonathan Pearson, Caleb Pearson, Stacie Parks, and Lindsey Pearson; and her great-grandson, Luke Winston Parks. She was preceded in death by her brothers, W. B. "Bill" White and Perry White.
