Maxie Barwick

Mrs. Maxie Barber Barwick, age 72, passed away Monday, February 12, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Bethany Baptist Church near Brinson, GA with Dr. Paul Worsham, Rev. Roy Matthews, and Rev. Tommy Willis officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with Wesley Barwick, Jesse Powell, Joe Barber, John Hill, Anthony Perkins, and Max Crews serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Barwick was born December 2, 1934 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Joseph Charles Barber and Gertie Griffin Barber. She graduated from West Bainbridge High School and was a retired lunchroom worker for Decatur County Schools. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barwick. Survivors include a daughter, Dianna B. Cleveland of Bainbridge, GA; four sons, David Barwick of Dallas, GA, Johnny Barwick of Bainbridge, GA, Tripp Barwick of Suwannee, GA, and Lee Barwick of Silver Springs, MD; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
