Melvin Hand

Melvin Earl Hand, 43, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Solid Rock Church with Pastor James Bostick officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Curt Hatcher, Stacy Strickland, Peanut Johnson, Johnny Hand, Robbie Mullis, and Chuck Matthews serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Hand was born August 27, 1966 in Chattahoochee, FL the son of Willie J. Hand and Mattie Rabon Hand. He was a maintenance mechanic and attended Solid Rock Church. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his son, Bryant Hand of Bainbridge, GA; his parents, Willie and Mattie Hand of Bainbridge, GA; his brothers, Myers Junior Hand and his wife Renee of Bainbridge, GA, and Randy Hand and his wife Michelle of Bainbridge, GA; his maternal grandmother, Allie Mae Baxter of Bainbridge, GA; his nieces, Amber Cook, Lindsey Hand, and McKenzie Hand; his nephews, Austin Hand and Aubrey Hand; and his great-nieces, Addison Cook and Ansley Cook.
