Mike "Road Runner" WimberlyAugust 15, 1957 - June 4, 2023 Mike "Road Runner" Wimberly, age 65, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at his home. The family will host a memorial service at 12:00 PM on June 24, 2023 at the residence of Mr. Billy Lavoie located at 4061 Vada Rd., Bainbridge, Georgia 39817.   Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Road Runner was born August 15, 1957 in Bainbridge, Georgia  the son of Willard "Preacher" Wimberly and Vennie "Brownie" Jeanette Wimberly. He loved racing. Road Runner was a small engine mechanic at Nichol's and Port City Cycles. He loved his family, he could never be mad at those he loved. Even if he tried to be angry, he couldn't. Jim Betts was a special friend, who Road Runner worked for and enjoyed repairing cycles with. For years, he drove trucks for Mike and Denise Webb and Billy Lavoie. Road Runner was an excellent father who doted on his kids. He went above and beyond for his children. Survivors include his children, Willard Michael Wimberly, Jr. and  Evelyn Jeanette Wimberly (Phillip Hadley); grandchildren, Emalee Wimberly, Lilly Wimberly, Wyatt Wimberly, Shawn Wimberly, Flynt Wimberly, and Memphis Wimberly; nephew; and numerous nieces.  Road Runner was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Wimberly; and granddaughter, Hazel Wimberly. The Wimberly family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
