Mitchell Campbell

Mitchell Dale "Mitch" Campbell, age 61, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 11th, 2022. The Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 13th, 2022 at Southwind Plantation, 670 Bower Station Road, Attapulgus, GA with Reverend James Scarborough officiating.  Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines. Mitch was born February 19th, 1961 in Wilmington, Delaware the son of Ralph Andrew Fletcher and Betty Ruth White.  Mitch worked for the United States Army from the age of 17 years old.  He loyally served and dedicated his life to the service of his country.  He was a mechanic who could fix anything.  He was a loving husband and role model to his children and grandchildren.  Mitch recently began working at Southwind Plantation where he became a member of the Southwind family. Survivors include his wife, Karen Jill Campbell; children, Jennifer Campbell, Robert Campbell (Kristen), Mitchell "Smurf" Robinson, and Jason Robinson; parents; grandchildren, Lillian Maupin, Zoie Stevens, Elijah Stevens, Kyla Stevens, and Ellie Campbell; brother, Charles Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mitch was preceded in death by his siblings, Christopher Campbell and Tim Campbell.
