Myrna Finney

Myrna Cochran Finney, 73, of Faceville, GA, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Johns, Rev. Donna Bevels, and Dr. James Adams officiating, and will conclude in the chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Finney was born April 29, 1938 in Pike County, GA, the daughter of I. D. Cochran, Sr. and Sallie Clyde Adams Cochran. She was a graduate of Pike County High School, Class of 1956 and Southwestern State University, Class of 1958. Mrs. Finney retired from the Social Security Administration with over twenty years of service and was a member of Faceville Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Arnold Finney of Faceville, GA; her son, Steven A. Finney of Bainbridge, GA; her daughter, Lynne Lehtinen and her husband, Mike, of Franklin, NC; and her two grandchildren, Brandon A. Finney and Dana D. Finney, both of Bainbridge, GA.
